Yawanna Twist, the lightly raced son of Yonaguska finished second in a pair of Grade 3 races this spring, the Gotham (March 6) and Illinois Derby (April 3) could join the Preakness field it was learned Friday. Yawanna Twist worked six furlongs in 1:17.20 on May 4 at Churchill Downs.
“Rick said we are going to see how he works and if all goes well we’ll get on that plane with the rest of them and head on over,” said Jim Riccio of Steel Your Face Stables. “We started late with him so it was tough to get a line on how good he actually is. He has to be 100 percent for us to step up against these other horses.”

Slowly but surely, the race is being conceded to Super Saver.
Make Music For Me, according to the DRF Hollywood track report will run next in the Belmont (Alphie's Bet will point to a turf race vs. his elders). All we need now is for the "51%" Lookin At Lucky to drop out and then hopes will rest squarely on Dublin's well-rumoured limbs. The silver lining, will be a pre-race rainstorm (which I heard was possibly in the cards), which although also favorable to the favorite, will at least give Paddy O'Prado a stronger chance to duplicate his Derby effort. |

I think the next defection will be A Little Warm, who had a fever after shipping up to Delaware and was supposed to work this weekend. He has not worked, so hopefully Tony Dutrow will re-think this and run him in the Woody Stephens on Belmont day.

Yep. As it stands, he also should have been in the Withers.

I completely agree and in fact, I think that provided he's healthy he has a chance to become the best 3YO sprinter around.
