Whether the owners of Stay Put or any other horse that was in the Derby day opener simply wanted seats for the day is a different issue. However, the choice to pass on a race worth more money with a grade is a little surprising. NT |

since the original question was about stay put, i used his owners. they have been involved for a long time and campaigned enough stakes horses that i dont think the being seen thing was their motivation. maybe they were looking for a confidence builder. didnt want to ship. something else. i dont think the point was to be seen. who were they looking to be seen by? |
