![]() Wally, "Crescent Moon" handled the turf well enough, the starting gate, well not so much. He's had gate issues from the very beginning, hoping he eventually gets over it. Came back full of himself and we are looking forward to his next start.

![]() Never tried it myself with a particular horse, but quite a few have reported success using 3-5 sessions on an underwater treadmill to help train fretful or worried horses to better tolerate the confinement of a gate (with handlers looming, etc). Same confinement, but different, more relaxing situation. Something to consider if you have one readily available locally.
