The ironic part is that in all other sports discussing critical/controversial aspects of said sport is not only kosher but encouraged. In horse racing people seem to prefer to be fed drivel regardless of the truth or facts presented. Jackson certainly took some chances this year (though as i have said many times taking chances in races where your horse is physically 100% and you are 3/5 is hardly a long chance) but he needs to continue to challenge the filly. Horse racing is a great sport when the best horses race against each other. Pretty much everyone now campaigns top horses as though they are college football teams. Play a schedule just tough enough that it wont kill you but dont take many real chances till the bowl game. You cant tell how great a team is by them beating Temple by 50. Sure you need a soft touch every now and then but play the best teams.
