They take smaller owners out of the industry? How? By buying their horses? I don't know too many people who had Godolphin buy their horses and then said - "that's it, I'm out of the industry, no more horse buying for me."

Think of all the money Godolphin provides those who are already involved in the industry to go out and buy more. I personally know one owner who has a good number of horses, several stakes winners, and was more than happy to sell a stakes winner to Godolphin because of all the other equine investments he could pursue as a result.
