Jockey Troy Harris has been disqualified for 3 months for cannabis use...stupid thing for him to do, but I think the penalty is a bit inconsistent.
Last year, Darryl Bradley called the sponsors of a 3-race series with a $100,000 bonus to a horse that could win all 3 races the day before the third race (Fritzy Boy had won the first two). He asked them if there was something in it for him if he could ensure that Fritzy Boy didn't win. His penalty? 3 months. Are they really equal offences? I don't think so.
