I'll just say he's a very good horse right now. That's as far as I am willing to go. I also don't think he is remotely close to being the worst Ky Derby winner despite the lack of class he beat. There have been a million Big Brown threads, I'm sure at some point someone said good things about him.

The horse is getting plenty of credit. He is an incredible animal but right now his success has a lot to do with the lack of talent. He will eventually have to beat a good horse.

As for Dutrow, he is a great horseman. The reputation he has is not because he gets caught cheater sometimes but because he shows no remorse. I would rather see somebody like Kiaran McLaughlin get a horse like this but it isn't like Dutrow hasn't paid his dues. He is as deserving as anyone.

As for IEAH, I am just not a fan of what they are trying to do to the horse business. But they are good at what they do.

What the hell are you talking about? There's been plenty of praise for him and his effort. And real classy saying how impressed you were by Big Brown "breaking down" Eight Belles himself.

Dutrow's reputation is what it is because he has been caught cheating (who knows how many times he hasn't been caught cheating) and he shows no remorse.

As for saying that he is as "deserving as anyone," I think a lot more of the vast majority of people in this industry.

I said the fact that he was pulling away from a horse that got the perefct trip and was running out of her shoes impressed me, not the fact he broke her down, that was the by-product of him being so good and her going after him.

How does one hype horse who hadn't broken a 90 Beyer in his 6 race career and was 5th(?) in the betting in a 20 horse field compare to a horse who continues to improve and has already earned a 106 and will probably be second choice in the betting in a much smaller Preakness field?

And was Court Vision the only horse who got (undeserved) hype here or anywhere else going into the derby?

Here we go, get used to this reese, classic Dt'ers feeling all warm and cuddly ganging up on someone so they can feel better about their pitiful lives. You'll fit right in.

Yeah, I didn't see that coming when you compared Harlem Rocker to Court Vision.

You're not talking to people that have problems giving out credit.I just think it's very difficult to know who to give the credit to.So,if this horse isn't getting the credit you'd like to see, then it's because a lot of us have no idea how good he is.I can't say that another trainer would have got him to run this well.I can't say he is doing this on his own.I don't know.If you want to see a horse get full props then people need to be pretty sure he is doing it all on his own. Many people have doubts about that. They are skeptical of it.This is the price someone pays when they have multi suspensions for breaking the rules.Nobody knows how good his horse actually is.Do I know how good Benny the Bull,Kip Deville, and Big Brown really are? No,sorry, I don't know that.Given these 3 horses, would any other trainer have the country's best turf miler, sprinter, and 3 year old? Would Diamond Stripes have had that extra reserve energy to come back(after being easily passed in the stretch) and win the Godoplhin Mile?Would another trainer been able to get Big Brown to win with the 20th post in the Derby, and the 12 post at Gulfstream? If your answer is yes, then give Big Brown the credit. If your like many here(with doubts about it,)then we honestly don't have any idea how much credit to give the horse. You're asking us to give credit, and we don't know where it goes.
