who the hell makes their picks this far out from any race? jc, you wonder why people give you a hard time, and then you give your supposed picks for a race three weeks out. you've got to be kidding. why the hurry?? shouldn't you wait to see what the horses do when they actually arrive at the track? how well they work? if they shipped well, eat well....who draws what post? the weather, the track, how the early races are run, and if there is any bias detectable?

"who the hell makes their picks this far out from any race?"

people who want internet bragging rights that they were there early.

on that subject i have dibs on recapturetheglory for last.

i don't care how he trains. i don't care about his post. i don't care if eight belles runs.

i want the bragging rights on this one.

Oh come on. That is like picking Wyoming to have the smallest population when the 2010 Census comes out and then bragging about it.

i took a horse with a 102 beyer in it's last prep. he easily could be on pg's top 5 list. he'd be better qualified than court vision who hasn't run a step in 2008.

that's hardly wyoming.

At this point I don't see a legitimate favorite. I'll be looking at Tomcito, Bob Black Jack, Smooth Air. Horses with longer odds.

i'll be doing my 'bookend' contest again this year, so i look for you to have the roussel horse as the tailend of your entry!

i just wish i had a dollar for every horse jcs has chosen as his new #1. i could buy half a tank of gas at least.

I did, it was the perfect prize. Mr. Steve is right. The history of a race is a thing that is often overlooked.
