1967..I believe it was the Woodward. Dr. Fager, Damascus and Buckpasser ran. Hard to remember a race when 3 horses of the year ran in the same race.

that's the one. many think that had hedevar not softened up the good dr, that he'd have held on for the win.
don't have fields like that very often..it's comparable to iron lieges derby, the field included bold ruler, round table and gallant man. bold ruler won the preakness and gallant man the belmont that year....
