Everything about it is great. Billy Bob ( didn't he write it as well? ) and Bill Pullman are both excellent. It's one of my favorites.
Billy Bob did indeed either pen the screenplay, along with Tom Epperson. It was Carl Franklin's directorial debut. By the way it was Bill Paxton that play Dale "Hurricane" Dixon. Your right about everything in the film is great.
