Your post wreaks of a bad sports attitude right now that coaches should be given no slack for even part of a bad season. You are talking about firing a guy who was the toast of South Bend two years ago, given a TEN YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION, and is now piecing together a team that lost every major skill position player. Hell, if ND wasn't planning on giving Weis the entire 2007 season to get this team straightened out, then they should have fired him over the summer.

The Rooneys could have pulled the plug on Bill Cowher numerous times. The Jazz could have done so with Jerry Sloan. Paterno could have gotten fired, same with Bowden. Sometimes coaches deserve some time and I'm quite confident more than two games is a necessary amount of time.

I wish he would go run a lil cattle ranch in that dump called Texas. If I can't have that,I'll settle for him in a coma.Tough way to have to move somebody, but he has to go somehow. He does look like he wears that blue sweatshirt in a pre-game nap,and then just comes to the bench 10 mintes before the game starts.People don't wear sweatshirts to important occasions. So,he is basically letting all the players know that he is doing the equivalent of factory work. There is nothing about him that says he has a passion for getting the team to raise it's play to anywhere near it's potential. Too much "oh well," and "that's the way it goes sometimes" being used to excuse what really is the result of poor execution. This is one guy that I know isn't getting out of his team what it really has to offer.

Fat Ball AIN'T CUTTING IT. Now, how much more ass-kicking they gunna take before he is looking for a coordinator job for next year? I am not that smart, but I am smart enough to know this guy has gotta go.

no one more popular than a winner...why weis is struggling so badly, i don't know. should he get the boot so quickly? not for me to decide. but i wouldn't be surprised if they did let him go. things are not the way they used to be.

i didn't think willingham should have been fired after 3 yrs. i personally think they should get 5yrs. at 5yrs you have ALL YOUR players, thats when you find out where your are.
do i think weis has recriuted well in his first 2 seasons? no. do i think he'll turn nd around in 5 yrs? no. do i think weis can coach and game plan and call plays? yes.
