There are only about 220-to-260 or so horses on the grounds as of this morning....the #1 complaint from all of the horseman is that there are no facilities for their help to stay....they have to keep them in hotels or look for short term apartments.
Fabulous Strike is on the grounds and will work tomorrow. How he works over this surface will determine if he runs in the stake later on in the meet - or he goes to the Vosburgh at Belmont - a race that Discreet Cat has not yet been ruled out of running in yet. They seem to want to try rating tactics with Fabulous Strike. I saw Scott Lake today, he has 24 stalls, second to only Asmussen's 30. Darrin Flemming is deputizing for Steve Asmussen.
