I disagree. Rail seemed fine for the 1-2 finishers of the 3rd. It didn't seem to slow down Loose Leaf either.
Watch what happened to Mandurah at about the 1/8 pole in the stretch. Watch Sunday Holiday in the late stages. Just seems like it was quicksand at about the 1/8 pole and I'm not the only one who's saying it, although I could be wrong.
Russian Gypsy is just a really awesome and game horse, and City Bird wasn't on the rail when she made her big move.
