You yourself said she shouldn't have been less than 6/1, so shouldn't you be impressed that the horse you thought had a maximum 14% chance of winning ran second by a neck?

Of course not, because it's pretty clear that you have some weird vendetta against the stable. My hunch is that had she won you would've been railing about how she got a clear lead or how she was "supposed to win" or some bullshit like that.

i have to say earlier i almost looked for a picture of vultures circling to put on here--because i really do think a few (very few hopefully) wait for things like this so they can come on and attack, and i guess lord it over us poor hopeful sods (don't we know we're in over our heads?!) who haven't a clue what to do with/about this horse. and for crying out loud, money was bet on her? the shame of it all.

it's funny tho really. we went into this deal with eyes wide open, with a small bankroll and really just some hope to have a bit of fun. certainly no one expected to have a horse of this calibre. those who knock her can say hey, she keeps coming in second. but she's doing something that only a small percentage of racehorses manage--running and winning money in a race that isn't a claiming race. i mean, did anyone who bought into this expect to have her show up at churchill, arlington, and probably ship into the spa? my guess would be NO. but some enjoy pointing out the bad, rather than look for the good. that's their loss.

by no means am i singling out anyone in this thread or elsewhere today. past experience after sumwons races has been far worse, and temperature raising, than anything i've seen lately.

of course, the day isn't over yet.

I doubt anyone wishes sumone or anyone in the partnership ill will. We would all love to see her run and win. Its very exciting seeing people enjoy their ownership experience. Its a very rare occasion you get a filly like her for the amount of money they paid

no, i don't think it's wishing ill will. i think it's just a gloating type thing, or like those who hope that someones posted bet loses, so they can rub it in a little. neener neener, you were wrong type stuff.

I said she ran well, what more should I say, she should be in the alabama....

look I didnt make her 7/5, so she ran better then I thought, maybe not to the publics estimation though of just short of odds on.

that much is clearly obvious to everyone, and it is so tiresome now.

just got back home from spending the afternoon out at AP, meeting lots of new people, watching Sumwons race, so close again.

I just have to say that you guys have latched on to such a nice one here, you all should be real proud even though she has so far only placed for you. She is real game and as you all know ran again today what could have easily been a winning race.

I have to mention something Wille said after the race that made my day.
He said in the jocks room before the race that Douglas told him "you don't have to worry about my horse". So Willie shoots back "I wasn't worried about your horse". That was the Pletcher horse, the 8, which Sumwon left in the dust. Willie seems like a great guy who really wanted to win for the partners today and seems to be having a blast with it.

was glad to meet willie at churchill, seems a nice guy--altho tony thought by seeing one of those pics that maybe he was being 'too nice'--lol...nah, not really!

that is a funny story about him and douglas tho. glad to hear you guys had a great time, and you better believe i'm proud as hell of how she's turned out.
