According to the Web site gates open at 11:15. I hope to make the first race but would like to check into my hotel and ditch the rental car first. Then I will have no worries (responsibilities) the remainder of the day.

That is correct, gates open at 11:15 but if you're inclined and have the morning free you can stand along the rail (at the top of the turn where an ambulance will be staged) and watch w/o's. Also downtown Arlington Heights has numerous good choices for breakfast.

The gates are open for works I think. About 4 years ago, Million Day I was in line at like 8:30am(when I wasn't a baller and I needed to sprint for a table) and the gate was open so I just walked in and wandered around for a while, and watched the works, and then sat down when they were over, no one bothered me.......

I could have just gotten lucky that some moron left the gates open but whatever. Dell, is that were fans watch the works from?

it's where I watch from (rarely). Usually the gate by the back of the paddock is open (mainly for Levy) employees and you can get in there but I don't think they want people wandering around the facility. Tim, if he jumps on can give the difinitive answer.

Wednesdays shouldn't be a problem with someone checking id's in the paddock entrance if you get there before 10:30 the gate is wide open so you can walk in...if you get there earlier you can watch the horses work until 10:30 when training is done. During training the gate is usually open on the clubhouse entrance too. No one will bother you if you are there early as long as you walk around the first floor or outside.

I won't be working tomorrow but I will be there to watch Sumwon...

It needs to F'n rain today, it is HUMID as hell. Hopefully she is stabled and comfortable when this supposed t-storm comes through
