I also missed Sr. Prom and Homecomming because we had horses running. I was late for my high school graduation because we had a colt running in a Fut. in TX and didnt want to miss it. Got to the auditorium about 10 people before my name was called, but it was worth it cause we won the Futurity.
Love it!

A day late with my story...but that's the story of my life lately.

A few years back, I was participating in a mall craft fair. The hours 9 - 9 Saturday and Sunday. And it was Breeders' Cup day. I had an 8 hour tape chugging away in the VCR at home, but would obviously not be able to start watching that until Monday evening.

There was a Sears in the mall. I walked in and tuned one of their TVs into the Breeder's Cup. I watched the first BC race and walked out (I left my husband to man the booth). I went over every half hour to watch a race, telling the sales people that I just really wanted to watch the race. Sometimes I got a little crowd.

Saw every BC race that day.
