Default I want to bet Street Sense.......but
After researching the field, I really want to bet on Street Sense in the Derby. My hesitation is Street Sense is a filly. When is the last time a Philly has won the Derby and how often does a filly ever win against the boys in Triple Crown Races?

A "Philly" owned and/or bred won the Derby last year, the Preakness and Belmont in 2005, and the Derby and Preakness in 2004.

If you mean a FILLY, Street Sense ain't a filly.

I am sorry for originally spelling filly wrong which I have corrected. What else did I mess up....sorry for the confusion. I'm kind of a novice.

not real sure if you are serious or not...but SS is a colt...not a filly.

i think they are aiming street sense for the oaks and street sounds for the derby.

hence the confusion

More embarrassing than that is I don't even drink. So I guess there is no excuse. Obviously I need to take my medication from the regulars here. If I saw this, I'd be piling on too.

Is Street Sense going to be the favorite?

I'd imagine he's going to be top 3...

Curlin will probably go off as the morning line favorite, although Street Sense actually deserves to.

Must've been the contact buzz, right?

No one's piling on, don't worry.

Curlin will probably be the favorite, but Street Sense should be a close second choice.
