Etude looks like he could be any kind. His last was a stunner.. Dick Small is a former Marine and really unusual guy. Might be a really good horse..

He and Trombo's Street Magician are this year's Maryland-based angle Preakness runner candidates..

Xchanger won a graded race at two. And this is ungraded, what kind of field did you want?

I like Etude as well.
I picked him in the Private Terms Stakes at Laurel in DerbyCat's contest (although unfortunately I didn't have a real wager on him) but I don't remember much about him. All I really remember about him is that he has never been out of the exacta in his six lifetime starts.

The Tesio isn't really known for producing stellar fields, is it? Seriously do correct me if I'm wrong, but when I think of it in recent memory I'm thinking of Ah Day and Water Cannon. It seems to usually be a prepping ground for an eighth place finish in the Preakness.

I'd love to own a horse like Ah Day...

I think he's turned into a nice horse, I was speaking mostly about the types of horses it produces at that time in their career: Preakness also-rans.

P.S. - I don't think Ah Day ran in the Preakness, did he?

Unheralded Maryland-based horses pop up and invade the Preakness board about once a decade.. Oliver's Twist and Magic Weisner come to mind, and of course Bee Bee Bee ('72) won it stunning Riva Ridge.

I always like seeing the King Leatherbury horses show up in the Preakness. Think Ah Day is a King horse, right?

I'd love to see Fogelsonger on a Preakness mount.

I think Magic Weisner came out of the Tesio. Remember him in the Preakness? Another 5 yards, and he would have run down War Emblem.
