Smile Dan Patrick never heard any call like this one......

Pants your absolutely right about the "homer" aspect. Every once in a while your actually proud of a set of professional athletes to actually break the "no rooting in the pressbox" edict that makes all of sport nothing personal just business.

Looking retrospectively at your plays for the year you are all about good informed business decisions. I have no doubt you'd bet aginst your boyhood heroes and enjoy watching as they got smoked.

Don't misunderstand I am not criticizing you on any level as I don't know you at all, but anyone who says they are "never" a biased fan and is telling the truth is a very sad pained joyless scrooge. Once upon a time it was just about the love of the game when we were all just boys and any moment that helps us embrace even seconds of the feel of those days when we all really actually cared about who won because they were from where we lived or grew up is a moment worth relishing for they are far too few in adulthood.

I'll be all about making money with number crunching horseflesh in the morning but tonight I raise a glass to the ghost of Gino Capaletti/Mike Holavac/Jim Plunkett/Jim Nance/Nick Bonacontti/Boston Patriots past as the underdog, not the longshot, wins one this night.
