Let It Ride/Funny Farm writer Jay Cronley dead at 73

I didn't realize that he wrote "Funny Farm" and "Let It Ride." I used to read his contributions to the ESPN website on racing. Richard Dreyfuss was perfect for his role in the movie. Wonder what happened to him? Haven't seen him in anything since "What About Bob" which was another very funny movie.
