Slews Tizzy is a blinker wearing klutz who will find trouble. Maybe they can load him next to Teufelsberg for the derby and they can take each other out.

Slew's Tizzy clipped heels because the horse in front of him (Makeithappencaptain) backed up. I wouldn't call him a klutz because of that. Quite the opposite, actually... he was running with the reins dangling in front of him and managed to avoid breaking his legs. I believe we'll see him running in the Louisiana Derby and I'll judge him after that race.

Could be that he is just a long striding horse that can't stop on a dime... I wouldn't call that clumsy. Just needing to grow into himself.

Sounds like I have said this before...

It's certainly possible, I have not followed Slew'sTizzy much other than the one race. Teufelsburg (blinkers off in the last one )seems to find trouble in every race and yet overcame it the other day.

All Im saying is to be careful of blinker wearing dudes, many of them run into trouble on a regular basis. From his earlier PPs I did not see any mention of trouble w/ SlewsTizzy though, has anyone seen his other races? Does he have any trouble on the break? or in traffic? Why does he wear blinkers in the first place?

many of the horses who wear blinkers do so to keep them focused on what's ahead of them, rather than anything alongside. usually keeps them closer to the early pace. i read an article on dwayne, or as i.d. calls him, dranged, and he puts most of his horses in blinkers-many from day one. possibly comes from his days as a q horse trainer, blinkers are pretty common in quarter horses, where you want them to concentrate on getting straight down the track as fast as you can.

Pletcher has a fairly lightly raced grass mare named Cassydora who I think may do some big things this year.

Back in 1972 there was some 2yo who was a "blinker wearing dude" named Secretariat who found all kinds of trouble in his first race. I don't remember what happened to him after that.
