finishes 5th against a stellar field in the Canadian Turf Hand.

Pace makes the race. Either age is catching up, or a 23 and 2 opening quarter on a rock hard turf at 8.5 furlongs leaves too much to do. I believe the second explanation.

At 10 furlongs they are even....Cacique doesn't like to travel too far. They should turn him back to a mile. EC would be dusted there.

dusted, not sure about, but Cacique is better going short and EC is better going long...I will agree there.

I have told Gander, Bethani and have posted on here I think Cacique ran two of the best Turf races last year....the Man O War and his 4th place in the Kilroe

mathematically though, doesn't that imply that it still took EC longer to run 10furlongs than it took Cacique to run 12....seeing that the Manhattan was run in June?
