![]() In the 8th race at Santa Anita, there is a first-time starter that worked really well at the Barrett's Sale. She is 15-1 on the morning line. Her name is Launch Our Star. She has plenty of speed. She worked :10 1/5 and she has a nice way of going.
I think she had some type of conformation flaw and that is why she didn't go for much money. She was a $40,000 buy-back. If she is fit, I think she will be very competive in here. |

![]() She hopped in the air and lost about 10-12 lengths at the break. Then she rushed up and ended up fading badly. Even though she lost 10-12 lengths at the break, I can't really use it as an excuse, as bad as she ended up finishing. I'll still probably give her another chance next time. She may be a different horse if she breaks good and gets the lead. Some of these young horses won't run if they're behind horses getting dirt in their face.

![]() I agree. She did finish bad but had no shot with that break. She certainly had her share of supporters being bet to 7-1 I believe.
