Default Andre Waters

Sad to read that brain damge was responsible for his suicide. ESPN said doctors say concussions contributed to Waters' having brain tissue consistent with an 85 yr old man. He likely would have been totally incapacitated within 15 yrs. Sheessh!

Default It's rough enough........

The NFL game as it is, but the point about leading with your head can't be stressed enough! I think the coaches deserve some blame as well! Most of us aren't privy to what goes on in individual coaching meetings, and whose to say that being headhunters, isn't being drilled into some of these guys heads? Who know's what kinda pressure these coaches are putting on players, to take it to another level? I love the NFL, and college football, and don't have a beef with any particular player or coach, just somethin to think about. I'm interested to know anyone's thoughts on this? Peace!

Football is clearly the NOT the team sport one enters for longevity. Gotta live and be able to walk to put that money to work. Absolutely brutal game.

That is terribly sad about Watters. I had no idea.

Baseball. Pitcher. Might have a shoulder or arm that hurts forever but at least you can walk. I would make sure after my release I was in perfect position to bail out with that line drive up the middle. To heck with the fielding, incoming.

Watters was an animal in that backfield too. He was known for hitting people very hard! Too bad that thing he loved best (hitting receivers) caused him to get so sick. RIP Andre Watters, Give Reggie White and Jerome Brown a high five for me!
