Default Turf Racing vs Dirt Racing

I for one LOVE turf racing. I really am just so so on dirt racing. I think turf racing is more challenging to handicap, the races are better, the stretch runs are better. Dirt racing to me is boring. I wish tracks that offer turf racing would go to 4-5 turf races a day. I love turf sprints like Gander stated in another thread. What is your opinion.

Love the turf too. Much more exciting than the speed favoring dirt tracks. Some of these dirt races are over at the start. Turf racing is great for finding horses at a nice price too. Jockeys play a huge role on the turf too.

I'm with you Euro. I enjoy the turf races more myself. They are a whole different breed when handicapping. Although I can't really say I think they are tougher. IMO trip handicapping comes into play much more in dirt racing. Also, I think you have more unknowns on the dirt such as horses cycling much more, and distance variations. On the flip, most dirt races have a handful of horses you can throw out right away. I don't see that as much on turf, being they are so tightly bunched normally. You can throw some turf horses out not to win, but its hard when playing deep tri's and supers. Just my opinion.
