Default Barbaro

Does anyone have any idea when he is projected to go to work? Just wondering when we could expect some little ones hitting the the sale barns.

still think that's not in the cards any time soon. just read another article on him this morning. they have a foot specialist on the way, looks like barbaro will be changing locations soon. apparently doc richardson feels at this point that he has done everything he can, and that it's time for barbaro to move along. that is an excellent sign. his laminitic foot is continuing to grow, but will 'never look like a normal hoof' according to the article. but it's causing no discomfort. they said they haven't had him attempt to jump a mare, and it would surprise me had they actually done so.
i would be surprised if he covered a mare in the spring '07. but then, every bit of progress he's made has been a pleasant surprise.

They are not projecting standing Barbaro in 07. He's never been tested for fertility and the physical likelihood that he could cover mares is not established.
At this point they are still interested in saving his life.
