Default Steve's new article on the homepage

I'm sure you don't hear it enough...well done on another great article and probably the one I've liked best. You summed up all the words (and frustrations) so many of us feel in the sport.

Tremendous piece... I made it the top story at The Racing Dispatch.

It raises the question that racing needs some new direction, but who leads the way? There are many organizations, but can they orchestrate change together... that's the key.

Thanks everybody.. It just 'came out' sitting at the typewriter... I'm getting a bit frustrated by a lot of the negatives that I see around the game. Have been more and more vocal on the radio about it too.

There's something we can do too, and I'm trying to think of the how's...

So when will we see your face plastered on the side of a bus? ("Sex and the City" reference for anyone who didn't make the connection)

As for the how's, if you think of them, keep us all posted.

"O",
Well, I play guitar but don't know the chords to that song.
I'll just say that Steve sings songs from his heart. His lyrics shape a tune that I'm not capable of writing, let alone singing.
I tip my hat to him for saying the words I'm unable to.
Steve...well done!
Thanks.

I am pleased that Steve mentioned Hialeah. I guess it's the most beautiful racetrack in the world but where's the outcry ?

good piece of writing dude. i showed it to a few guys i work with who also like horse racing. our initial reaction was we are glad the NFL hasnt gone in the wrong direction like horse racing has. unfortunately, some people just cant make an honest living anymore. drugging up animals, mooching off the rich, whatever it takes. drives my girlfriend chloe even more crazy as she use to be an exercise rider in southern california.

why dont you use yourself as sharkbait instead. dive in but make sure to cut yourself first. a paper cut will do. those suckers can smell blood from 100 miles away.
