The 2 day Breeders Cup event is usually feast or famine and the Friday / Saturday show was pretty
lean for profits. However two players showed up to handicap the cards and both came home on the plus side of the ledger. Cal hit a super, Indian Hemp a Pick 4 and Joly hit a tri but the payouts were not high enough to record a profit. Usually on days like this with full fields and a lot of unknown foreign horses the payouts always seemed higher. I guess race 9 was a little chalky so that lowered most players payouts. Allydar finishes in second being the only player to cash a ticket in a race other than the Classic. Allydar put $60 to win on Notable Speech in the 10th on Saturday and was rewarded with a $7.20 win price and a $16 profit. It fell a little short of this years BC ROI winner Digger who a race earlier played Forever Young to show and when he won Digger's profit was $44 and it held up in the final 3 races. Congrats on the win Digger. Nicely played and I thought you had a shot on a nice payout had Rhetorical won. I'll have a yearly recap later before we start up again in two weeks but it's no secret that Indian Hemp is our 2025 ROI champion. That's two out of three years for Indian Hemp. Following are the unofficial results with a caveat. It's not official until you check your scores. There were a few late scratches and a two day event so I'm not taking my abacus scores for granted. And I am glad that 11 players showed up for the event. Nice to see a good turnout. PS....my mistake, Cal hit his wager on day 1 WIN... Digger... +$44.00...
