Default ROI Results 6/7 @ Belmont (SAR)

What a shame that the rain ruined a good portion of a strong Belmont Day card. Two races moved to
Sunday, a 3 horse field and scratches galore. Ruff and Joly took hits on that $200 stake but 4
players took home the points with some simple and saavy wagers with all four winners cashing in
on the Belmont Stake itself. Digger gets the Super slot with a bet on Sovereignity. DonGuido takes
the show spot with a Belmont exacta to wind up plus $130 for the wet afternoon. Indian Hemp
edged out Don for second by picking Sovereignity to win and his $100 win wager netted him a
profit of a hundred fifty. None of our players had enough to mount a charge on this weeks winner
Cal. In race 11 Cal got a nice price on Patch Adams and with that wager got into profit territory.
Then in the feature Cal hit the tri and superfecta and rolled home a big winner with a profit of
almost $300. Back in the saddle again Cal. Congrats on the win. Nicely played. As for my bets
I had a scratch in my first wager, an exacta canceled because the field was too small and a third
wager that I scratched out on because I mistakenly put a 3 in twice and he was scratched. Next
weeks results might be a day or two late as I'll be on the road. See you all next week wherever
whoever deems we go. And may I add I hope I got these results right. It was a nightmare with
scratches but all you
players (except me) were on the ball.

Thanks, I needed it pretty badly having not had a positive return for eleven weeks. Figured Rodriguez would probably run 3rd and beat me in the Belmont, but thankfully, didn't happen. Looked like it might for a moment there, but Baeza finally got it in gear and helped me out.

Thanks Digger. Win or lose, I almost always have some regrets in how I bet. I guess that's universal among horse players. Maybe we can all make amends in the BC Cup where hopefully the two protagonists from the Triple Crown will meet again. Not exactly talking Affirmed and Alydar, but still a pretty entertaining Triple Crown this year.

It would be nice to see them go head to head sooner, perhaps in the Jim Dandy or the Travers; however, Journalism has certainly earned a freshening after his campaign, and McCarthy might prefer to keep him at Del Mar in anticipation of the BC.

It will be very interesting to see where Baeza runs next. Someone pointed out that he is still eligible for a NW1X, where he would probably be 1-100 or so.

Cal, I enjoyed your observation very much. In addition to buyer's remorse, should be also identify bettor's remorse?
