It was foggy and it was wet on Saturday at Oaklawn but we had some mudders who enjoyed the
dismal conditions. 5 players wound up cashing 6 tickets and 8 players forgot to put their mud caulks
on. Zippy cashed a ticket on Coach but failed to hit the break even point and that left
four players to vie for the points. Cal takes the fourth slot by hitting the tri in the Coach race.
It paid a nice $12.85 for each 50 cents wagered and returned to him $128.50. Edging him out
and finishing third by a few bucks was Eclipse who also played Coach but her wagers were to
win and place and her final return was $132. Ruffian finished in second place by hitting Capture
the Glory early in the card and played "catch me if you can". Only one could and it didn't take
him long as the Don hit another big exacta in the fourth worth almost $30 24 times for a big
days return of $708. The only real challenge Don Guido faced was a counter attack by Ruffian
in the 5th but in a case of Rye Humor her 16-1 horse could only get a non threatening second.
Congrats on the win Don. Nicely played Don and like Target you have a big red bullseye on
your back now but a really nice lead to go along with your 3 2022 wins. Following are the
