This dude is one cool customer. I have been watching him ride for years now. One thing I am noticing lately, especially since Keeneland, is that he has really become a patient rider. You do not see him panic, he just continues to ride the horse. I see other jockeys shellack the hell out of a horse, even when they take the lead, but not Joel. He just rides. I know he gets the better horses, but G-1 or claimer, it is very impressive and enjoyable to watch him ride this year. He has really evolved into a World class rider.
