They've lost 6 in a row, including a home loss (3-20) to previously winless Stanford

I think ty's job is safe he is missing his starting qb. I think he'll get another year to prove himself.

Will anyone actually watch this game other than relatives of the players and coaches? Isn't there something more riveting on tv this weekend like the world championship of needlepoint?

DD,
I really don't think people quite understand
this is the rivalry in college football
OSU-Michigan may be 1 vs. 2
but as far as sheer downright hatred and animosty towards the other
UA-au is unmatched
I've had to disown friends & family members for turning to the dark side
Roll Tide!!!

I respectfully disagree, and I don't have to put down the Iron bowl....just call it the best in-state rivalry and we'll be fine....LOL

fair enough, although I would contend that in-state rivalries are more heated than state v. state rivalries because you have to live with the "enemy" as neighbors 365 days a year, unless the sight of blue and orange makes you so sick that you have to move to Wisconsin, LOL

for me, the rivalry games are great, and is what makes college better than the NFL, even w/o a playoff system

great quote though from Mr. Spielman, not sure who I'll be rooting for in that one, but a like Michigan w/ the points (6.5)

BR, most people don't understand this game shuts down the Entire state !
although i do have to say this, since they've gone to the home-away format. the game has lost some of it's electric.
i've been to 4 games 87,88 the stadium was still split 50-50. there was NO better atmosphere and game than the iron bowl, when the stadium was split.
90 was the first year of home-away and still at Legion Field. it was still fun and an experience but not like it used to be. 90 and 92 were great to me, Bama defense RULED both days, especially 92 on the way to the NC !!

ROLL TIDE!!

DD, I concur...Birmingham and a 50/50 spilt gave it a Bowl game atmosphere, hence "The Iron Bowl", plus you got to party in Southside after the game
why they changed it I don't know, I'm sure it was about money
and probably the fact Legion field isn't in the best of neighborhoods
although they are hosting the inaugural Birmingham Bowl this year
Well, Roll Tide! hope you & I will be doing a lot of this tomorrow
