Default August 1 Jerry Garcia Birthday hunch play

For you Grateful Dead fans out here....I give you this hunch play. It is on the number 2 hoss in the second race. Yes, folks from the underrated movie Wise Guys starring Danny Devito, Joe Piscopo, and featuring the late great Captain Lou Albano, the famous number 2 hoss in the second race. In the movie, instead of making that bet, they bet on My Baby instead, who opened up 8 on the field.
Getting back to today’s play. The owner of the 2 hoss today is Rosebud stable. Jerry had a guitar named Rosebud that he did his best work with. He did fine work with wolf and dog too, but rosebud was the real deal. So today, the number 2 hoss in the second race. Across the board is recommended as the hoss is 15-1 morning line and record is 31 1-8-10.

Or a fan of Citizen Kane, as I am not a fan of the Dead

I’m such a PUNK!! I bet the horse to show instead of win. I knew he’d be in the number but I thought he’d be overtaken late. HORRIBLE execution of a good opinion!

And I’m alive in $5 DD to 5 and 9 here.

Pathetic return on my investments. To be all over a 20-1+ horse and to only walk away with just under $1000 (so far) is pretty pathetic. Need the 5 or 9 here in the 6th to salvage.

Nice hit. You should be happy with the $24 tri bet turning into $933. That's a good return

Thx Knicks, although it was a $48 tri wager. I’m way more upset with my show wager. I should be walking away from that race with about $1000-12000 more than I did. I’m now relying on a long shot DD to save me from my bad thoughts lmao.

I need to begin capitalizing on win bets as opposed to measly show bets. What’s the point of having a good opinion if you only use it to gain a fraction of what you can make?!

Thanks again Knicks

Agreed. Looked like a winner mid stretch for a second. Irad might have impeded the 2’s progress late in the lane. Will have to see the head on. Tough loss if it holds. Good call by you guys either way.
