![]() Question...
What do Arrogate/Gun Runner/Long on Value/Master Plan/Mind Your Biscuits/Neolithic/Sharp Azteca all have in common ? Answer.... They're all regular Lasix users that ran giant without Lasix on Saturday. Gulfstream Park is really annoying their players with the ridiculous delays before the first leg of the Rainbow P-6.........enough already. The Todd Squad in all its glory..........If things break right for Mr. Pletcher the next few weekends he could have as many as nine Derby starters..........Seven might be the winning number. The hardest part will be the La. Derby,he'll need to sweep the exacta.......fortunately for Todd the La. Derby has come up kind of light. And good luck to Todd and his jockeys piecing together the Derby riding assignments...........musical jockey chairs indeed. Speaking of Derby jockeys: The ultimate money rider isn't connected to any Derby contenders.........yet. If anybody can figure out where Mike Smith will wind up they are a step ahead of us all. Big race riders Joel Rosario & Victor Espinoza also should be able to find a live mount. Chad likes Joel, and TP might give Victor a call..... Back to Mike Smith, you would think he could get a leg up for Derby legend Bob Baffert. But.........Trainer Bob only has one horse on the Derby trail with any points.........the overhyped American Anthem with a measly 4 points. There's a strong chance BB doesn't have a starter in this years Derby. ![]() ![]() Santa Anita had better be careful: The Sunday P-5 had a grand total of 25 starters in the sequence, and the late P-4 paid under $100........again. Talk about form reversals: Super Trainer Federico Villafranco started out the Oaklawn Park meet scalding hot, winning with just about everything he touched. The Oaklawn powers that be dropped the hammer.........arm and hammer that is ![]() The legend that was Villafranco is something like 0 for his last gazillion. |

![]() Regarding Mike Smith...
He will likely ride Reach The World for Baffert in the SA Derby. Assuming a good performance and enough points I bet that's his mount in the Derby. Same ownership as Unique Bella. That would also mean at least two horses that didn't start at two will be in the Derby. A lot can change between now and then. |

![]() Regarding Todd pletcher....how's he gonna win the derby when he is too thick to put the blinkers on Mo D'Amour ? Any idiot can see that filly needs blinkers. He is so overrated.
