Race 2:
#6 Alexndeed: Hasn’t shown an affinity to win and was against him last time but ran admirably after being rammed sideways at the start. IMO that race was tougher than the fav’s debut. This may be his last chance.
#3 Ireland’s Eye: “Other” Terranova has his first try on the dirt with Lasix and gets blinkers today. Look for him to turn it around. Concerned by the Aug. 9 Vet SCR.
#5 Sherifco: Horrendous trip on debut and had him marked down for next time. However, that race seems extremely weak and I’m not fond of the sudden drop in for a tag. Use but no sure thing.

Race 3:
#2 Sunday Sonnet: Will love every bit of the added distance and the surface. May be overlooked on the board.
#6 Rainha Da Bateria: Impressive winner in a blanket finish and has worked four time since. Stretchout will be no problem but sometimes the form from the races that finish so tightly don’t hold up.
#4 Flying Tipat: Finished extremely well while green in a race where the 1st and 2nd finishers were in those positions at every call. Can and should improve further.
#1 Ancient Goddess: Unknown quantity from Europe. May need one.

Race 4:
#4 Alcolite: Used the same sprint prep to run a big one here last year. A repeat of that can make him a winner at a big price in this short field.
#1 Beyond Empire: Best runs have come around two turns and is the one to beat.
#2 Roaring Conquest: Back on track as a repeat winner. Third within reach but this would be toughest of the three.
#6 Royal Posse: Got the breakthrough on the drop. Repeat is plausible but needs to improve again in this tricky race.

Race 5:
#7 First Charmer: Interested to see this one on the turf. Like the morning moves since the debut.
#13 She’s Marvy: Will be dangerous switching to grass. Hoping she draws in.
Will use others in multis but nothing else leaping off the page.

Race 6:
#8 Club O R: Violette has brought his babies ready this year. Guessing based on that.
#1 She’s Roman: Fit enough going by the extended worktab.
#5 Miss Potenza: Bred for turf, but has worked well on dirt at Churchill.

Far from impressed with this late P4 sequence, but I think it can pay boxcars if the favs get beat.

Race 7:
#7 Fast Time: Unlucky with a tough trip first off the claim for Rudy. May be a big day for Davis.
#2 Street Shark: Three time winner for Wilkes prior to the re-claim. Only turf try was a route.
#1 Isn’tlovejustgrand: Big run last time. Eligible to go one better.
#6 Console: Seems to love SAR, but prone to bounce off a huge effort.

Race 8:
#6 Manchurian High: Much improved since the barn change. The one to beat.
#10 Zane: Fairly dull recently. Look for a bounce back effort this time around.
#4 Treasury Devil: Has been facing tougher and won on the drop to level that made him eligible for this.
#2 Coupled Entry: Rubley dangerous with whichever of the two that runs.
#7 and #9 have been fairly competitive in and around this class previously, but I’m not overly convinced.

Race 9:
#7 Let’s Go Ben: Needed his last when he faded after blitzing up front. Don’t ignore this bomb.
#2 Spartiatis: Won sprinting at AQU. Short last time and ran very well, just hanging after a move on the turn. Big upset chance.
#9 Pirate’s Pleasure: Rough trip first off the claim for Nevin. Connections always dangerous.
#10 Ziptronic: N2X winner vs NY-breds. Trying to beat him against open company.
#3 and #5 are claiming N3L winners albeit against small fields. #6 ran a career best and still couldn’t win, Rocco rides him best though.

Race 10:
#1 Eight Cents: Dangerous trying the turf.
#9 Retire Fifty Fav: Ran home well last time. They’ll have to hold off the probable fav.
#10 Bold Runner: Tries the stretch out again. Castellano sticks around.
#5 Romans Paradise: Nothing special and seems a money burner.
