She leaves the kid there and runs off??!!

I mean yes I realize she probably goes after the dog but Jesus lady... don't leave your kid there on the ground!

good for the cat.

so glad the boy is ok, that the cat and mom were there to save him.

as for mom 'running off', people don't act completely rationally when something irrational happens.

Perhaps she was just taking off to go hunt down and kill the dog. I know if that was to happen with my son, I would have beat the dog to death if I had the chance. That would have been after I jumped in between my son and the dog. That's just my instinct though as his mother.
