I had zero interest in seeing this movie, anticipating it to be a typical Hollywood treatment. After reading this

I just might see it after all.

Looked pretty low budget (kinda like the horse) from the trailers I've seen

This at least answers the question "Can Skeet Ulrich sink lower than doing CSI episodes?"

I can't wait for the inevitable boner medicine commercial.

As one who distinctly remembers emphatically stating before that Derby, "WHAT A JOKE! THIS HORSE SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING IN THE DERBY!!", I've never been a big fan of the horse that made me feel like a dope. But watching this trailer, which I thought was very well done, reminded me what a good (and unlikely) story it actually was.

It does make for a good story. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. Plus, it's a movie about horse racing. What the heck - should be fun.

If the trailer is a good representation of the film, I like that it looks to be more of a light comedy than anything else. I actually laughed at "Please God, don't let him be last." Secretariat gave me my fill of inspiring stories of rich people succeeding against all odds.

Mine That Bird attended, as did Calvin Borel.

There may have been bigger upsets mathematically, but I can't think of a bigger one in all sports. 50-1 seemed like a big underlay going into the race. It was the most shocking thing I've seen in over 40 years of watching sports.

As a 40+ year fan of racing I may watch this movie and think it sucks but if it peaks anybody's interest and brings some new fans to the game then I think it's done it's job. I'm guessing this movie has a message about overcoming tremendous odds which probably can be applied to life itself. In light of the videos being released in the past week or so this is probably a good time for a movie which sheds a positive light on racing to be presented.
