![]() Broke his maiden HUGE at Belmont in July and has been on the bench ever since. He's recently worked twice at Palm Meadows. Anyone know the reason(s) for the layoff?

![]() This Saturday Gulfstream Race 4, he returns.
Normandy Invasion and Morgans Guerrilla also in the field. Nice little race. I wish I knew how Morgans Guerrilla was doing, Im tempted to love him in here off the 504 day layoff. IMO its a good spot to play against Normandy Invasion. |

His lone race, hitting the gate, spotting the field 15 lengths and then coming 5 wide to win the race handily (against return winner Sliver and Onions) as a Mineshaft showed huge promise for the future. Looking forward to his return. Everyone should go back and watch a replay of his Belmont race. |

![]() You probably don’t want to hear this as you seem to be a fan of this horse, but I like him a lot on Saturday. His debut was super impressive and I believe he has more of an explosive kick then Normandy Invasion. Normandy seems to me like more of a grinder. I don’t think 8f at Gulf does him any favors. There were two other handicap spots on Saturday that I feel like he would have made more sense in. I also think Morgan’s Guerrilla is dangerous off over a 500 day layoff. That horse has never run a bad race on dirt and seems to have the most speed of the main contenders. Wish we could all have an intelligent discussion about the races. This entire card is loaded. I can’t remember the last time I went race by race and could not narrow races down to under four or five contenders. IMO the easiest race on the card is the Fountain Of Youth as that race looks very chalk to me w/ Commissioner and Top Billing.
