Default Beware of the Future Bet

From Racing Post

YEATS may not yet havebeen confirmed an intended runner in the Melbourne Cup but the Ascot Gold Cup winner has got the whole of Australia talking after what reports are describing as a “multi-million-dollar plunge” on the Irish five-year-old. One layer claimed to have laid a single bet that would payout more than $2 million (£800,000) – and they suggested the money had come from a British-based punter who was described as an “informed source”.

today it was announced he will not run in the race. tough luck for that punter.

so much for the "informed source".
