Default Today Set A Record

... Derby Trail stats... most users ever online... 133 Today!

Possible Reasons

1. SentToStud was online most of the day
2. Bold Brooklyn is on vacation
3. The Derby Trail folks are doing one hell of a nice job.

This is a great racing board with people who care about horse racing.

Thanks to Steve and all the folks who halp make this an enjoyable part of my day.

Keep up the good work!

Hey can this site handle a big chat before the Breeders Cup? We could easily put 500 on at one time if we did. We need to find a spot for that chat if we can't do it here. That was awesome last year.

Default The big day..

The big day was brought on I believe by the posting on Final Turn, and possibly elsewhere, of a link to the LITF passing confirmation here..

The confirmation came about from Pedigree Ann's "Unconfirmed" post that I saw this morning... I immeduiately asked my ATRAB partner JJ Graci to try 'friend of the show' Greg Gilchrist, but it was the effort of Cali racing official Ric Hammerle that rubber-stamped the sad news.

It seems that DT was the first racing-related site to post a confirmation, and news travels fast on the net...

I'm sorry that it had to be such heart-breaking circumstances that brought the visitors, but I hope those that have come by today will stay and register and contribute...

There is no 'chat' capability with this software, from what I can tell, we would have to do what we did last year and have everyone download Yahoo Messanger and Instant Message a specific person to get invited to the created chat room..It is possible though, the one thing is though that I don't think you can have a moderator of those type of rooms and getting 500 people would be nuts, last year was awesome, but very unorganized, mostly because Hooves had no idea what race we were on

I believe I can add "Chat" functionality... Have to check with vBulletin but I'm 99.44% sure it's no problem.

We'll get it done in advance of the Cup... (Orca and Nostradamus can moderate... together...)

I'll also see if we can't have a series of guest chats leading up to Cup... I'll work on my DRF guys (Grabowski, Pochman, Gropper), Haskin, maybe a Thoro-Graph guest, a wager-savvy trainer, Equidaily's Seth Merrow, who knows... Suggest some people and I'll try to line them up...

We'll make Cup Coverage top notch...

To call any get together of this board a "chat", just sounds too quaint. Like "We had a pleasant chat".

I think it would be closer to a marginally controlled pandemonium.

I can't wait!!

I would like to suggest none other then ME. I not be able to handicap but I guarantee I can have people laughing for the whole week with some crazy stories.....(Vegas is being planned again for March(Opening Madness weekend), and now we are combining groups, my group of friends and MY DAD's group of friends, and basically, we are one of the same, like 20 people at Ballys for three days, don't be surprised if we either own like 10% of the sportsbook or if we are sweeping the floors by the end of it)

On a serious note, I would suggest getting JB to come on, but from what I heard and experienced, he isn't the 'chat' type, but I know you have some serious people skills. Shane Laviolette is another I would like to have on chat, but for negative reasons. Trombetta would be cool, along with Albertrani(this is probably asking too much because he is loaded for BC day)

We should have a test run for a couple weekends in advance to make sure that Friday night goes smoothly

Also, I love the complete exaggeration of .44%, HUGE fan..

always add comedy %'s or points on things, makes it hilarious. Like my tiebreaker in the confidence pool tonight is 35.7

Also, the conversations on other threads are second to none. Lots to learn here and plenty to debate...Great board, I'm glad I found it.
