what a shame. he had more crooked legged offspring with bad action that ran their eyeballs out every time and always got a check. when they ever had confirmation....look out. I loved that hoss.

I remember in that ridonkulous movie, Dreamer that at one point the characters planned to breed the fictional horse to Grand Slam. As I recall, his stand-in didn't look much like him.

Loved Grand Slam. Too bad he tore up his leg so bad and missed most of his 3yo spring, because he was a lot of horse. Of course his connections did him no favors rushing him back after the Peter Pan in time to run the Belmont.
