no, it doesn't. it's bad enough that vets are treated like ****, but to know that a lost soldiers remains can't even be treated decently or humanely-it's just obscene. i am stunned.

Frankly, I care more about the abuses suffered by living vets, homelessness, substandard medical treatment, lack of treatment for mental disorders related to service etc etc. The dead don't care and while it's disgraceful and painful for the families, it pales in comparison to the pain suffered by families of wounded vets. This underscores the fact that military service, while very admirable, is often a scam...we pretend to care for these brave men and women on "special" days and occasions and forget about them the rest of the time. We send the best of our young folks off to fight in some god forsaken conflict which benefits only the rich and powerful among us...oil, trade, and ego should not be a justification for armed conflict but since Korea it has been.

....I met a young Marine year ago...He got out after 10 years service at age 30...Had a tour in Iraq...Said he got out because he was fed up with the way wounded vets were treated at treatment centers..said the docs fed them drugs instead of treating their core problems....

I cannot believe they didn't take the cremated remains and bury them in a common casket. That is simply appalling.
