Default Colic claims Bernstein

That's too bad. Was surprised he was just 14. Feels like he's been around longer as a sire. RIP.

Yeah, when I read that I had the same thought. He seems like he's been around longer than that.

Decent sire, too bad.

That makes three of us. Only 14? Wow what a shame. RIP. We might feel like he's been a sire longer because his female family is pretty active and not exactly a slouch either. I feel terrible for the farms in situations like this. It's hard enough losing a sire who's lived a long life and given them many offspring. There's usually an idea that it's coming to an end as the stallion approaches their mid to late 20s, but they thought Bernstein would be around for several years to come. The sudden void has to be shocking. I'm sorry for their loss.

I'm very sorry to hear about Bernstein too. And yes, seems like he's been around much longer than 14 years.

Poor thing. RIP good boy.
