Default Proposed Indiana budget would reduce supplement to horseman

How can this be? A State government is going to look to cut supplemental dollars to horseman in the name of raising funds for other concerns? Anyone think NY State won't try and do exactly the same? Anyone think that a 500mil NYCOTB obligation isn't going to be carved out of the Big A VLT earn? I realize the horseman's cut in NY has been approved and authorized and to that I say so what. It's a shame because once the policticans see 85k mdn spl and 20k claimer running for 56k the party will be over as fast as it started.

All of these State polictians are going to always support less to horseman and more to police, teachers, fireman, and themselves. And once the slot money is scammed away..Then what?

Let's not kid ourselves and believe that this money will go towards the police, teachers, fireman, etc.

You left out themselves? lol

Pa. now Indiana the State's are all broke there is no way they are just going to let teachers get fired , or State parks not being opened, while horseman are running for great money. It's sucks but that is simply the truth. JC Guerrerro is smart, steal as much as you can as fast as you can because once it is gone it is gone forever.

You are right but seriously what other choice is there? At least we are getting a piece of the action, however diminishing. The alternative is to compete against casinos and get nothing.

Wouldn't it be smarter to find a level were racing sustains itself without a slot teet that you get addicted too? Admittedly, I am someone with Pa. Breds that will hopefully compete these coming years at Parx etc. I just think its foolish to trust any state not to pull the rug whenever it is in the name of MORE IMPORTANT? needs
