Kentucky Downs

Wild looking card today. Lots of indecision to close out the meet....

Race 1 - MdnClm 10k - 1 mile

#5 Don's Profitt (6/1)- solid 2nd over this course last Monday
#9 Butchski (15/1) - 2 solid efforts @ Elp going this distance; can surprise
#1 Go Hon Go (3/1) - giving the Mnr shipper a chance vs. this group
#8 Giada (10/1) - can improve 2nd career start; exotic filler

Race 2 - MdnClm 10k - 1 mile 70 yards

Wide open as far as I'm concerned.........

#6 Zeke's Moon (4/1) - continues to improve after move to turf
#3 Spicy Jack (6/1) - likely pacesetter; could go off on easy lead Scr
#7 Brad's Kitten (7/2) - didn't show anything in first start @ Sar, but Wesley Ward rolls @ KD 2nd
#9 Ethical Lawyer (15/1) - training well coming off 8 month layoff

Race 3 - Clm 10k N2L - 1 mile

#10 Loveleigh (7/2)- Cby shipper dropping after troubled trip last out
#1 Belle Breeze (5/2) - coming in with 2 solid efforts @ AP
#2 Native Kitten (15/1) - another on the drop; past turf performances fit well here
#3 Aulivia Jehanne (10/1) - closer should fill out exotics

Race 4 - 2 yo MdnClm 30k - 6 1/2 furlongs

#10 A.P. Gunner (15/1)- drops from MSW; turnback; solid interim work; love the price Won $22.80
#4 Love That Dude (5/1) - drops from MSW/75k clm @ Sar 3rd
#8 Poortown Ruler (8/1) - likely pacesetter; can surprise first turf
#7 Hurricane Denton (4/1) - can he improve the even efforts to fill out underneath? 2nd

$2 exacta 10-7 $103.80
$2 trifecta 10-7-4 $813.60

Race 5 - Clm 10k - 1 mile 70 yards

#9 Geri Road (3/1) - 3/3 @ KD; has done nothing wrong here
#6 Flat Chance (5/2) - 2nd off layoff; fits well Won $6.20
#12 Penelope Wonders (5/1) - runs well at this distance
#10 Neon Lipstick (20/1) - ran 2nd in past over this track; nice exotic filler 3rd

Race 6 - 2 yo MSW - 1 mile

#1/1A Ramsey entry (9/5) - hate to eat chalk, but these 2 look good
#2 Silent Score (POE; 2/1) - move to turf will work well for him
#7 Sequoia Gold (15/1) - FTS by Teton Forest; can't ignore 3rd

Race 7 - OC 62.5k/N1X - 6 furlongs

#5 R Boy Bill (6/5) - impressive mdn win @ Sar; catch him if you can Won $3.00
#2 Insane Wain (12/1) - can be around to pick up pieces if early pace duel develops; can surprise
#1A Putitonwaynestab (POE; 8/5) - first on the lawn by Leestown; price sucks 3rd
#4 Mish Mosh (6/1) - R Boy Bill beat him by 6.5 in first start; troubled trip last out but won; exotic filler 2nd

$2 exacta 5-4 $9.00
$2 trifecta 5-4-1 $22.40

Race 8 - Alw N1X - 1 mile

This one could be a mess......

#10 Lady's Wish (7/2) - most accomplished performer in this group
#3 Queen Of Dreams (20/1) - throw out last 2 (Elp Turf stake, dirt OC) and she doesn't look bad; can upset here at a price
#7 First Grade (6/1) - 2nd off layoff; has run vs. better
#8 It's A Game (5/1) - Sheppard/Homeister come from Delaware for this one
#11 Aphrodite's Tears (5/2) - Sar shipper from James Baker; closing style could be hinderance 2nd

Race 9 - MSW - 6 1/2 furlongs

#12 Wyn Jym (9/2) - First on the turf by Proud Citizen; will be close to pace 2nd
#2 Valse Autriche (7/2) - classy filly from Mott
#7 High School Skinny (12/1) - Limehouse good with FTS; nice work 9/16
#3 Lady Macqueen (6/1) - first on the turf by Eurosilver

Good luck to everyone today!!

KD R1 - The 4 is better than she looks on paper. The fact that she was able to race up into contention vs. MSWs is probably enough to make her competitive here. I don't know why she stopped like that, but I'm assuming she's over it now since she came back w/ 3 works. Win and box w/ the 5, 8.

Thanks Tom! After some ignorant betting in the first 3 races, this one made my day, too.

Nice call in the 8th, Gus. I couldn't make heads or tails of that one.

Thanks Booner, nice call on the 4th. I singled in the wrong spot in the PK4 as R Boy Bill proved best. Always a fun short meet, especially on Mondays. Maybe, Tampa Bay Downs can go back this upcoming meet and race on Tuesdays.
