![]() I'm surprised no one talked about this.
The mother of Zenyatta absolutely could not even stand up on dirt. She was utterly pathetic on it - but she was a pretty solid turf horse. Her first foal Where's Bailey was a turf specialist who won her turf debut. Her 2nd foal Balance won her debut at 8/1 on turf - and took the Hidden Lite stakes easily in career start #2. Never lost on turf. Her 3rd foal Zenyatta has never run on turf - but is the queen of the turf like rubber surface. Her 4th foal couldn't run on anything Her 5th foal was beaten 15+ lengths in a Monmouth MSW dirt route race after getting drubbed sprinting in his debut. Won career start number 3 nicely at 7/1 odds in a Saratoga MSW on the grass for the first time yesterday. |

The father of Zenyatta not only could "stand up on dirt" … but could do a little running on it too … particularly at CD … where he took the '02 SF by half-a-pole... |

![]() I was bored so I looked at the progeny records of the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Fillies race that Composure ran 2nd in, she's the only horse to produce anything.
