Default J Rodriguez -- the kid tries hard

Don't know what this kid's stats are for the BEL meet but he's shown the ability to FINISH WELL -- something I can't attribute to too many jocks

For example:

BEL 7/11 R5 --- comes back, after dueling up front and then getting passed by Johnny V in the lane, to get 2nd -- JV is one of the finishers out there, so this one was very nice

BEL 7/3 R6 --- makes a prolonged/determined stretch run, never giving up, to just nail Maragh at the wire for 2nd ---Maragh is not exactly a strong finisher so this one maybe isn't as significant, though it certainly was impressive.

With all the weak finishers in the NYRA colony presently, this kid stands out.

No

The joke was on Maragh when he got run down like a PUNK and JV when he couldn't get by this kid. I'm not commenting on his overall riding ability, just on how he finishes/doesn't give up.

Hope this answers your ?.

I wish Travis Dunkleberger had tried a little harder in the 8th at Charles Town on Saturday.

The problem I have with him, or I should say the biggest problem, is his inability to maintain position early in races.

Look, he's young and reasonably inexperienced, so perhaps he will improve, but I am no fan of what I have seen.

We're you laughing at my two $40+ winners or the $66 bomb I gave out at BEL?

Or were you basically doing what the 'gang' in here does: playing with yourself?

When you're picking $40 winners, I'll remove your opinion from 'auto toss' status. Sucks being you, I know. But if you hang in there long enough you just might get a clue. Keep laughing.

I dont have the title anymore, and I am 100% confident my opinion is better then yours. As for FatMan, he is annoying and his QR bashing is unacceptable, but his opinion is well thought and he puts the work in.

Slightly better ride than Samyn gave Upper Gulch in the 5th.
