I thought they were looking for a middle aged white guy? Is everyone afraid to say "middle eastern looking fella"? Is it better to be dead than called a racist? Did the media convince themselves it was a member of the Tea Party? This politically correct Bullsh it is going to get a lot of people in this country killed. Now we are supposed to believe his house getting foreclosed on was some kind of trigger? NEWS FLASH>>>>> This guy was a frikking ISLAMIC terrorist before he applied for citizenship. The legal immigration policy in this country may be even worse than the illegal immigration policy (non-policy?). How many more like him are here already?

excellent rant. it has all the key elements. incorrect assumptions piled on pre-existing resentments leading to ridiculous conclusions.

i wonder how foolish you'll feel once you realize the guy in the video isn't the one they arrested.

i'm guessing not at all. you'll just bull through life as usual. no reason inconvenient truths should affect your opinion.

Where is the inconvenient truth? Islamist terrorists are hell bent on killing Americans in America? I never thought it was the guy in the video was the attempted bomber. This guy made it past the no-fly list and was dragged out of his seat and off the plane. Pre-existing resentments? Such as? The left making excuses for every terrorist act, while failing to connect the dot? They all seem to have 1 thing in common. Islam. The last thing the left wants to do is offend an Islamist terrorist by calling them out on the same grounds that they use as justifacation for mass murder. Islam. Allah Akbar.

which middle aged white guy did you think was being reference in the media if not the one in the video? i never heard anyone talk about one other than in direct reference to what was on that tape.

maybe that was the problem. you failed to make that obvious connection so just assumed the msm was doing it's usual job of supporting terrorists. i'm not sure you look any smarter if that's the case.

and pointing out how mind numbingly dumb your original post was doesn't equal making excuses for terror. it's just holding you accountable for peeing your pants in public.

Default Times Square Bomber guilty

In a turn of events stunning and angering to those that decried prosecution in federal court (won't work, will endanger NY citizens, too expensive, will take forever, will allow him to lawyer up and get off scott free, Obama is ruining this country, etc):

Quote:
(AP) NEW YORK -- Faisal Shahzad entered the plea in U.S. District Court in Manhattan just days after a federal grand jury indicted him on 10 terrorism and weapons counts, some of which carried mandatory life prison sentences. He pleaded guilty to them all.

Sentencing was scheduled for Oct. 5.

The Bridgeport, Conn., resident was arrested trying to leave the country May 3, two days after the bomb failed to ignite near a Broadway theater.

Authorities said Shahzad immediately cooperated, delaying his initial court appearance for two weeks as he spilled details of a plot meant to sow terror in the world-famous Times Square on a warm Saturday night when it was packed with thousands of potential victims.

According to the indictment issued last week, Shahzad received a total of $12,000 prior to the attack from the Pakistani Taliban through cash drop-offs in Massachusetts and Long Island.

Attorney General Eric Holder said after the plea: "Faisal Shahzad plotted and launched an attack that could have led to serious loss of life, and today the American criminal justice system ensured that he will pay the price for his actions."

FBI New York Acting Assistant Director-in-Charge George Venizelos called the plea "right on the mark" and praised the work of "ordinary citizens who alerted law enforcement of suspicious activity."

Shahzad was accused in the indictment of receiving explosives training in Waziristan, Pakistan, during a five-week trip to that country. He returned to the United States in February.

The indictment said he received $5,000 in cash on Feb. 25 from a co-conspirator in Pakistan and $7,000 more on April 10, allegedly sent at the co-conspirator's direction. Shahzad said in court Monday that the Pakistan Taliban gave him more than $4,000 when he left training camp.

Shahzad, born in Pakistan, moved to the United States when he was 18.

Pakistan has arrested at least 11 people since the attempted attack. An intelligence official has alleged two of them played a role in the plot. No one has been charged.

Three men in Massachusetts and Maine suspected of supplying money to Shahzad have been detained on immigration charges; one was recently transferred to New York.

Federal authorities have said they believe money was channeled through an underground money transfer network known as "hawala," but they have said they doubt anyone in the U.S. who provided money knew what it was for.

I don't think there was a huge outcry against prosecuting this guy in federal court. The huge outcry was about prosecuting Khalid Sheikh Mohammad (the 9/11 mastermind) in New York.
