![]() was looking at FG tomorrow and saw a jock listed, M. Brown. Popular enough to have gotten 92 mounts has no wins, 1 second and no thirds. Have never seen a jock with that many mounts show such futility.

![]() I found this in an article from about a year ago, Makes him 65 now. I think he may be due for a win.
Will You Still Need Me When I'm 64? Lost in the shuffle of Louisiana Derby week was jockey Martin Brown's second local trip to the winner's circle at the current Fair Grounds meeting. The native Louisianian posed in the winner's circle a week ago on Friday the 13th astride Ashley Cornell and Daniel Ray's Almost Mary for trainer Wade Ladner Brown, whose two latest wins have both come as a 64-year-old reinsman, remains one of the hardest working horsemen on the grounds, galloping for an extensive clientele of trainers in the mornings, and then accepting numerous additional mounts in the afternoons. http://www.fairgroundsracecourse.com...derby-traveler |

![]() Saw this and I just wanted to post it somewhere (not implying this poor girl was the Zippy Chippy of jocks) so for some balance...
It must be hard. Doing what you love but not doing it well enough. Being depressed, the whole weight thing, all of it. Anyway... http://korearacing.wordpress.com/201...jin-hee-death/ |
