Default Sox

Dont look now, but the White Sox are only 5.5 games back after sweeping the Tigers this weekend.

Red Sox close to within 1 game of the Yankees, courtesy of our friends from LA. Thought the Yankees would try and stick the dagger in our backs and try and draw away. Nope.

Next weekend's 5 game series is becoming very interesting.

I'm sure that the Yanks wanted to stick ya with the dagger, but Halos simply can't afford any more losses right now.

Neither can the Red Sox. They really have to stay where they are right now (or better that) to offer a chance for themselves to take advantage of the upcoming 5 game series with their rivals.

White Sox proved why they are the best team in baseball still. They're going to get that division.

Tigers showing this weekend that they can beat up on the bad teams but get clobbered by the cream of the crop. Doesnt bode well for their chances to win the division and or do well in the playoffs. I think this team is in trouble.

Cool

I said this before (around the all star game) and got shot down.. but IF your the Tigers and your depending on Kenny R. as your ace.... Your in trouble. Yes the Tigers are a wonderful story, but they aint been thru the wars of late august & crunch time september. Now they get to go into Fenway after the pale hose sox's

I've said this all year, a sign of a truly good team, one that has realistic shot at winning it all is a team who beats the top teams. Tigers arent one of those teams. They fall down when they play teams like the Yankees and White Sox and I suspect they will lose this series to the Red Sox as well. In the same fashion I believe the Mets are a team who, when it really matters, will fall to a team with better pitching and more experience, like the Cardinals or Astros.

I don't think a team that leads the league in team pitching is a fluke.I don't know about K R,but the other 2 starters are the key.Bonderman, and Verlander are better, but have to return to their best. One of those 2 got a dead arm?
